“Eating History: A Taste of New Mexico” is a 60-minute documentary celebrating the culture-rich relationship New Mexico has with its food. It highlights the influence different cultures throughout history, like Native peoples, Mexican puebla farmers, Spanish conquistadors and American cowboys, had on New Mexican cuisine. Filming for “Eating History” began last July as a partnership between nonprofits Docufilms and the Museum of New Mexico Foundation. The documentary was inspired by the museum’s art exhibit “Forks in the Road: A Diners Guide to New Mexico,” which celebrates the stories of over 80 beloved New Mexican restaurants.
