- 2 pie crusts
- 5 large cooking apples (Jonathan, Granny Smith, or Rome)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 T flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 T butter
- 1/2 jar Red Chile Cranberry Sauce
Preheat oven to 400F. Peel, core and slice apples. In a bowl mix cinnamon, flour and sugar. Put 1/2 apples in pie shell, put dollops or Red Chile Cranberry Sauce on them and sprinkle 1/2 dry mixture over them. Add remaining apples and sprinkle with remaining mix and sauce. Dot apples with butter and cover with remaining crust. Cut a decorative pattern on top crust. Bake 50-60 minutes.
