I created this online store for people like you, that come from all over the world to experience New Mexico, fall in love with the enchanting landscape, cultural heritage and most of all the food!

And speaking of food, green chile becomes more than just a food to many. The aroma of flame roasted green chile peppers is heavenly – It never leaves you. It certainly didn’t for me when I moved from New Mexico to western Washington in 1984. I took for granted all the indigenous foods grown and produced here, especially green chile, not realizing they were unique to New Mexico and not readily available where I was. So, like many New Mexicans, I began the annual trek to New Mexico during the chile harvest, packed an ice chest full of green chile and returned to Washington. I began jarring my own chile in the late 80’s.

When I moved back to New Mexico in 1996, I knew immediately what I wanted to do – Make the products that I missed and longed for while I was away available to everyone! That’s how Apple Canyon Gourmet came to be.
