Grilled Steak, Tempeh, or Tofu Salad with Holy Chipotle! Dressing
This Grilled Steak, Tempeh, or Tofu Salad with Holy Chipotle! Dressing can be prepared with your preferred protein. Grilled steak creates a satisfying chipotle steak salad, while tempeh and tofu provide meatless alternatives using the same vegetables and dressing.

Three Grilled Protein Options
Grilled Steak Salad
Grill the steak to your preferred doneness. Let it rest briefly before cutting it into thin slices and arranging it over the greens.
Grilled Tempeh Salad
Grill the tempeh until heated through and browned on the outside. Slice it thinly before adding it to the salad.
Grilled Tofu Salad
Grill the tofu until heated through and lightly browned. Cut it into thin slices and arrange it over the greens before adding the vegetables.
Tips for Making the Chipotle Salad
Prepare the hard-boiled eggs and vegetables before grilling the selected protein. This allows the salad to be assembled while the steak, tempeh or tofu is still warm.
The dressing uses equal quantities of canola oil, culinary sauce and soy sauce, making it easy to scale while preserving the original proportions.
Shake the dressing immediately before serving because the oil and other ingredients may separate while standing.
About the Holy Chipotle Dressing
The original recipe calls the product Holy Chipotle! Culinary Sauce. Its current name is HOLY CHIPOTLE! Marinade & Cooking Sauce.
The mild, tangy sauce combines with soy sauce and canola oil to create a simple dressing that works with all three protein options.
