Tips for Making Creamy Chipotle Alfredo Sauce

Keep the heat low after adding the cream cheese and Parmesan. Excessive heat can cause a dairy-based sauce to scorch or separate.

Finely grate the Parmesan so it melts more easily into the sauce. Stir regularly, especially around the bottom and sides of the saucepan.

If the sauce becomes thicker than desired, stir in a small amount of additional milk until it reaches your preferred consistency.

The submitted recipe does not specify a pasta weight or serving yield. Prepare the amount of pasta needed for your meal and add the finished sauce gradually.

Ways to Serve Holy Chipotle Alfredo Sauce

Serve this creamy sauce with:

  • Fettuccine or another cooked pasta

  • Squash-filled ravioli

  • Pasta topped with sautéed, steamed or grilled vegetables

  • Grilled chicken or turkey

  • Fresh or sun-dried tomatoes

How Spicy Is the Alfredo Sauce?

The current HOLY CHIPOTLE! Marinade & Cooking Sauce product page describes the sauce as mild, tangy and delicate. It adds Southwestern flavor without making this Alfredo sauce intensely hot.

Additional sauce can be served at the table for diners who want more chipotle flavor.

Storing and Reheating Leftover Alfredo Sauce

Transfer leftover sauce to a shallow, covered container and refrigerate it within two hours. Use refrigerated leftovers within three to four days.

Reheat the sauce thoroughly on the stovetop while stirring regularly. FoodSafety.gov recommends reheating leftovers to 165°F and bringing leftover sauces to a boil. Add a small amount of milk if necessary to restore the sauce’s creamy consistency.
