  • 1/3 cup ketchup

  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

How to Make Holy Chipotle Sweet & Sour Marinade

  1. Place the Dijon mustard, rice wine vinegar, sweet and sour sauce and honey in a mixing bowl.

  2. Add the HOLY CHIPOTLE! Marinade & Cooking Sauce, grapeseed oil, salt, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.

  3. Whisk until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and the marinade is smooth.

  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the marinade for one hour.

  5. Use the finished marinade with meat, chicken or seafood.

Tips for Using the Marinade

Whisk the ingredients thoroughly so the Dijon mustard and grapeseed oil are evenly incorporated.

Keep the marinade covered and refrigerated during its one-hour resting period. Marinate raw protein in the refrigerator rather than at room temperature.

If you want additional marinade for serving, reserve a clean portion before adding raw meat, poultry or seafood. Discard marinade that has contacted raw protein.

The USDA states that poultry may remain refrigerated in a marinade for up to two days, although this recipe calls for only one hour. Always cook marinated food to its appropriate safe internal temperature. Review the FoodSafety.gov temperature chart for guidance.
